Roberta Rosenthal is a professional artist specializing in botanical and landscape art since 1969. Roberta attended the High School of Art and Design in NYC with both academic and vocational diplomas. Rosenthal received a degree in textile design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. In 1977 Roberta founded RSR Designs Studio in New York City. Rosenthal studied Sumi-e and Chinese brush painting from with Masters Koho Yamamoto and Jui Liang Guo. Rosenthal's art has been published and exhibited worldwide. Rosenthal paints in upstate New York at her Bloomingburg studio 'Squirrels Nest. Roberta works in watercolor and sumi-e ink. Roberta instructed botanical art, and business practices at the New York Botanical Garden, Bronx, NY 1987-2006 and has taught sumi-e, botanical art and calligraphy at Mount Saint Mary College Desmond Campus, Catskill Art Society, Wallkill River School and currently at Squirrel's Nest Studio. Roberta is a member of the Oriental Brush Artists Guild, American Society of Botanical Artists, Wurtsboro Art Alliance and the Society of Illustrators.
