SUMMER Times 2009

CELEBRATE the joys of nature this SUMMER with ART and gardening.

Preparation for two exhibitions and a full summer season of art classes. I wrote an article for the Delaware and Canvas art newspaper coming soon in the July and August issues.

"Humble Nature" kicks off the art season in the Catskills opening on July4th with an artist reception on Saturday, July 11th
from 2 pm - 6 pm

at the Wurtsboro Art Alliance Gallery, 73 Sullivan Street. The first invitational salon exhibit features over twenty artists. Mixed media, oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings, sculpture, and photographs. I have four new sumi-e ink and watercolor paintings in the exhibit. The exhibit continues through August 9th.

Join me at the artist reception on Saturday, July 25th from 1 - 4 pm at SUNY Orange County Community College at the Orange Loft Gallery for a special "Botanical Art" exhibition featuring the works of Rosalind Hodgkin and Roberta Rosenthal.
July 22 - August 16 as part of Lyceum Events presented by Cultural Affairs.

At the same time Orange Hall Gallery has Artists in the Garden presented by the Garden Lovers Club of Middletown, NY and produced by Wallkill River School. Reception for both shows have music by Judith Hosmer Garrett, pianist from 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm and light refreshments.

Second Time Around
Join me for an artist reception on Sunday August 2nd, 1 pm - 4 pm, at
Aroma Thyme Bistro in Ellenville, NY.
This highly rated "green restaurant" is next door to Shadowland Theater at 165 Canal Street. I will be featuring Asian brush paintings, landscapes, botanicals, small as well as larger works of art and prints. The exhibition is from August 1 - September 3rd. This is Roberta's second exhibition at Aroma Thyme Bistro. To read more about the restaurant go to www.aromathymebistro.com. Or see a play at Shadowland Theater and have dinner afterwards and enjoy the paintings while you are there. All of the art works are for sale.
A percentage of sales goes to benefit the
Ellenville Regional Hospital and Shadowland Theater.
